A partnership helps enhance downtown Allentown

No place like home – Dilcia Marte (right) and Yahaira Alejo (left) and their families are beginning life anew on Allentown’s North Street. Four years ago, a fire there destroyed eight row homes. The Housing Association and Development Corporation (HADC) is revitalizing the neighborhood with new town homes. Our health network’s for-profit entities are pledging at least $50,000 a year for five years to support HADC’s efforts.

Breastfeeding moms reunite—For four years, breastfeeding moms have gathered to offer support and advice through our Monday Morning Moms support group. They recently reunited, some attending with their second children. "Breastfeeding can be challenging," says lactation consultant and support group founder Beth Kushner-Giovenco, R.N. "We provide moms an opportunity to talk openly about their concerns and gain guidance and encouragement."
